My love of “looking at” houses started way back in 1984. I was in 4th grade and my parents were looking to buy their first house. I remember going on home tours with them and exploring every room and even picking out which room would be mine. While visiting new home sites, we would browse floor plans and paint schemes. They finally settled on a cute new construction rambler in a suburb north of Seattle. To this day, the smell of new carpet brings me back to that time and is still one of my favorite smells.

Fast forward to adulthood. In my mid twenties I was a single mom of two. After working several “jobs”, I decided I needed a “career” that provided stability and a steady paycheck. I went to school for my Paralegal Degree where I practiced in that field for 12 more years. I loved what I did and I was very good at it.

During my time as a Paralegal, I got married and we purchased our first home. Again, I found myself loving browsing homes online and touring them in person. I would be great at this! If only real estate provided a steady income right off the bat!

A couple years later, my kids were getting older and a bit more self-sufficient (no need for babysitters yay!) I decided to get my real estate license. My legal background made it easy for me to understand contracts and interact with people under pressure..

Building my business was an excruciating process. It was 2007 afterall and the beginning of the “housing crisis”. Besides, doesn’t everyone know at least 5 realtors? Business was nearly non existent the first couple of years. I ended up keeping my paralegal job through 2016. This worked well for several years - until it didn't.

A few years after I started my real estate career, the market shifted. House prices dropped dramatically and all a sudden everyone wanted to buy a home. After two straight years of working both real estate and paralegal as full time jobs, I was showing homes as early as 7am and as late as 8 or 9pm on some days. I hit a breaking point and one had to go. I decided my passion for real estate and helping my clients far outweighed any passion I had for the legal world.

I quit my paralegal job which allowed me to focus on my real estate career. Even though I loved my job in the legal field, I have never looked back. I know it was the best decision I have ever made.

My life’s path led me to a career in real estate for a reason. The joy I get in helping you realize your dreams is more fulfilling than anything else I have ever done. Then it became time for me and my family to upgrade our living situation. I remember how different the process felt when I was looking for my perfect home vs. when I was simply looking for my first home. My own personal experience planted a seed, and led me to create my Happiness Vision Method. It was exciting to know exactly what I wanted and needed in a new home and then finding the perfect one that gave me that. It is just as exciting to experience every step of the process with you on your journey - The good, the bad and the amazing! Taking this journey with you and experiencing your happiness right alongside you is what drives me to be the best I can be for you.
